Inverness – AGM – Annual Dinner – June 1st 2024

Trip summary

Phil Massey, Dave Chapman and David Jamieson have been working hard to identify and organise a location in Inverness for the 2024 RHSoc meeting. We’re pleased to say that they have been successful, and the 2024 RHSoc Dinner and AGM will be held at the Craigmonie Hotel, Inverness.

Trip itinerary

The AGM is an opportunity for Members and Subscribers to exchange ideas and give feedback to help improve RHSoc, the journals and the trips we offer.

We usually have a guest speaker and announce the results of our annual photo competition.

There are plenty of hills in the surrounding area for walking and climbing.

Accommodation

B&B rates are ÂŁ150 per room and the hotel is holding 15 rooms for us on both the Friday and Saturday nights.

Please contact the hotel directly if you wish to book a room, mentioning RHSoc. There is a youth hostel virtually next door, and other hotels and B&Bs within walking distance.

Camping, caravan and motorhome sites are also available around the city, which of course also has a railway station and an airport nearby.

Cost

Meal prices are to be confirmed but we expect these to be up to ÂŁ40 per person.

The main dining room is large so there shouldn’t be a problem getting everyone in who wants to attend.

Reserve or enquire about trip

At the moment this is a ‘save the date’ only, however we would appreciate expressions of interest which can be returned to Phil Massey’s email felix.massey@blueyonder.co.uk. Bookings will be opened early in 2024 when menu options are available and a dinner Gmail account set up.
